Termination and Fair Hearing Under Employment Laws in Tanzania


Termination of employment means ending the employer- employee relationship between the two parties being, an employer and an employee. Any party to this contract can initiate the termination under the terms and conditions set out in the contract. Much as it is a contract like any other, it is made unique by the laws and regulations governing employment laws in Tanzania.

Under the laws in Tanzania, employment contract can be terminated by agreement of both parties, or by resignation of employee, termination by the employer. At times such contracts are terminated for reasons beyond each parties’ control such as by death of either party.
